A top level delegation comprising both ministers and officials are in Geneva to present the case of Sri Lanka to the ongoing 49th session of the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC), Daily Mirror learns .
Foreign Minister Prof. G. L. Peiris and State Minister of Production, Supply and Regulation of Pharmaceuticals Prof. Channa Jayasumana took wing to Geneva yesterday. Besides, Foreign Secretary Prof. Jayanath Colombage and Justice Minister Ali Sabry will arrive today.
The delegation will meet with UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Michelle Bachelet on March 2.
Besides, there will be a series of bilateral meetings with envoys of member states of the UNHRC.
