Missing case:Bodies of mother, infant found buried in jungle

The decomposed bodies of a woman and her eleven-month  infant daughter were recovered by Anguruwathota Police from a shrub  jungle at the Ratmalgoda area last morning.   

The woman’s husband had on last Tuesday (18) complained to  police that his wife Wasana Kumari (24) and the infant daughter had gone  missing from home. Anuruwathota Police that conducted investigations  recovered the two bodies buried in the shrub jungle in close proximity  to their house.  

A relative of the deceased woman was arrested on suspicion  of killing them. Police said they had observed several blood stains in  the house during investigation.   Anguruwathota Police are conducting further investigations on the instructions of DIG Kalutara Division N.T.B. Sugathapala.
