• A navy sergeant from the Koggala navy camp, his wife and two children were on their way to Ratgama on a motorcycle when they met with the accident

A woman and her one and half year old son died while her husband and a six month old child were seriously injured when a motorcycle entangled in the string of a kite near the Boossa Navy Camp and toppled last morning.  

The Mother had died on the spot and the child on admission to the Karapitiya teaching hospital.  

A sergeant from the Koggala navy camp, his wife and two children were on their way to Ratgama on a motorcycle when they met with the accident.  

His wife Sudasinghe Liyanage Menaka Prasadini (34) and son Anuka Randul (1 ½) of Piyadigama in Gintota died in the accident. 

 The injured navy sergeant and the six month old child were admitted to the Karapitiya hospital. Rathgama police are conducting further investigations.
