Mother remanded for deserting three daughters

A woman who deserted her family of three daughters and was found living with her paramour was remanded till August 09 by Minuwangoda Magistrate Priyanthi Liyanarachchi on Wednesday (2).  


 The suspect woman Nilusha Damayanthi Perera was a resident of Katuwellegama in Minuwangoda. She had been arrested and produced in court by Minuwangoda police.  
Police told court that her husband was in the   army and their three daughters were 19, 15 and 09 years of age.  

The police officer who produced her in court stated that the suspect who deserted the family with three children about three months ago was living with her lover in another house.  
He stated that the police warned her to look after the three children and to provide them facilities for education but to no avail.  


The magistrate who remanded the suspect woman ordered police to submit a report on protection of the three children and postponed the case for August 09.  
Sergeant 38098 Sudath Nandasiri produced the suspect in court.
