NFF Parliamentarian Nimal Piyatissa quits



  • Says he is not prepared to hold a post under a government that failed to fulfill the aspirations of 6.9 million people

National Freedom Front Parliamentarian Nimal Piyatissa who functioned as Chairman of the Kotmale Divisional Coordinating Committee resigned from his post yesterday.  

 He said he decided to resign from the post of Coordinating Committee Chairman since he was not prepared to hold a post under a government that failed to fulfill the aspirations of 6.9 million people.    He said his resignation was a protest against the government’s arbitrary activities and marginalizing of all forces in the government.   He said his letter of resignation had already been submitted to President Gotabaya Rajapaksa.
