• Inauguration of Kushinagar International Airport
• 125-member SL delegation including 100,000 Buddhist monks

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to have a brief interaction with Sports Minister Namal Rajapaksa on the side-lines of the events to mark the inauguration of Kushinagar International Airport tomorrow, Daily Mirror learns.

Mr. Rajapaksa will lead a Sri Lankan delegation in the inaugural flight from Sri Lanka.  Kushinagar is the place where the Buddha attained Mahaparinirvana.

There will be a 125-member delegation from Sri Lanka, including 100,000 Buddhist monks. In addition to Mr. Rajapaksa, Tourism Minister Prasanna Ranatunga, State Ministers D.V. Chanaka, Sisira Jayakody and Vijitha Berugoda are among the delegation. After Kushinagar, they will also leave for Varanasi in India.
