Chief Sanghanayake of Nuwara Kalaviya Ven, Pallegama Hemarathana Thera has been appointed as the Chief of Anuradhapura Atamasthana by the Atamasthana Working Committee.  

Ven. Hemarathana Thera succeeds the Late Ven.Dr. Pallegama Sirisumana Dhammarakkhitha Thera who passed away on October 18.  He is scheduled to assume duties next Friday morning (11).   A series of religious activities will be held at the Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi on Friday morning to bless the Thera.
