Mrs. Vasantha Perera has been appointed as the new Education Ministry Secretary, and marking the opening of the new year, she assumed duties in the Ministry yesterday (01).

Prior to this appointment, she had worked as Secretary in the Justice Ministry, Power and Energy, Health, and Vocational Training.

She also held key leadership positions in the Finance Ministry, Defence, and Foreign Affairs of Sri Lanka. She has also worked as a senior diplomatic officer in the Sri Lankan Embassy.
