Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) MP Dr. Harsha de Silva yesterday said his party will be able to secure the required number behind it to get the no confidence motion against the government passed at the right time.  

Dr. de Silva came out with this remark in response to a question raised by Daily Mirror on the report which was being circulated over social media quoting him that SJB has got the support of 113 MPs for the motion. “I only said we will get the support of 113 MPs at the right time,” he said.  

Meanwhile, the SJB Parliamentary group decided to hand over the motion to the Speaker this week after speaking to some more MPs. SJB MP Gayantha Karunatilaka told Daily Mirror that the SJB Parliamentary group decided to hand over the motion after speaking to some more MPs.  

It was decided earlier that the proposed impeachment motion against the President is to be delayed.
