The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) said it has sufficient stocks to distribute all types of fuel including diesel, petrol and kerosene without any shortage.   The CPC said that the Sapugaskanda refinery has resumed its operations and necessary steps have been taken to continue refining and supplying fuel.

Accordingly, all types of fuel including diesel, petrol and kerosene are produced at Sapugaskanda Refinery.
Imported fuel other than crude oil is also available at Kolonnawa and Muthurajawela storages.

They said the distribution of fuel has been expedited to reduce the congestion at the filling stations and distribute fuel without any shortage.

The CPC requests the public not to be misled by rumours of a fuel shortage and the necessary procurement formalities for oil supply in the future are also currently being attended to.
