No lockdown; strict travel restrictions will be imposed: President

President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has reiterated that even though no lockdown has been imposed, travel restrictions would be strictly implemented.  

The President speaking at the Cabinet meeting on Monday night said that if a lockdown was imposed, the economy would be affected and that the daily wage earners will also face a grave crisis.  


He also said that vaccination should be expedited to prevent the spread of the virus and every effort has been made to continue it.
