No one can stop school children and teachers from coming to school from anywhere in the country, Education Minister Dinesh Gunawardena said.   

More than 3,000 schools with lesser than 200 students around the country will commence their academic activities according to health guidelines.   

“The future of children is not only the happiness of the parents, but also the happiness of the nation. The doors to that happiness will be opened from today for the hundreds of thousands of the students in the country,” the minister said.  The Provincial Governors, Zonal Directors, principals, teachers, and parents have completed the work of cleaning the schools, developing and providing facilities.
