• Tens of thousands of pilgrims and foreign tourists had visited Sri Pada without facing any danger over the last two months

Incumbent of the Sri Pada and the Chief Sanghanayake of the Sabaragamuwa Province Ven. Bengamuwe Dhammadinna Thera refuted false propaganda on social media and certain websites which implied that he had requested pilgrims to refrain from visiting Sri Pada due to the danger of COVID-19 spreading again.    

Ven. Thera reiterated that people could continue going on pilgrimages  to Sri Pada as before adhering to health guidelines without any restriction. He told the media yesterday that people had the liberty to visit Sri Pada just as any other place of worship in the country.   

Ven. Dhammadinna Thera pointed out that tens of thousands of pilgrims and foreign tourists had visited Sri Pada without facing any danger over the last two months.
