The Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL) had decided not to have scheduled power cuts yesterday and today.   

PUCSL Chairman Janaka Rathnayake said the decision was taken due to the availability of sufficient fuel, furnace oil, and water stocks in reservoirs.  However, the Chairman requested consumers to use electricity sparingly during peak hours (6.00 pm to 10.00 p.m.).
