Responding to several media reports that state that some  young people who are infected with COVID-19, are susceptible to sexual  dysfunction and subfertility, the Health Ministry said there is no any  truth behind such claims.

Speaking to Daily Mirror, COVID-19 Coordinator Dr. Anwar  Hamdani said anything of that sort had not been yet scientifically  proven and added people should not panic about it.

Moreover, Dr Hamdani reiterated that there was also no truth in any reports that state that booster dose causes infertility.

Thus, he urged people not to be deceived by such false reports, but to take the booster dose as early as possible.
“As far as the booster rollout is concerned, we are now at  52 per cent, which is satisfactory compared to where we were,” he  pointed out.

“However, the number still needs to go up in order to feel much comfortable as a nation,” Dr Hamdani added.
