• Sri Lanka needs a single vision and a road map which all parties should agree to

A collective effort of all political parties should be aimed at building one vision and road map to stabilize the nation, Leader of Opposition Sajith Premadasa said yesterday. 

Speaking during a religious ceremony held at the Polwatte Temple in Kolllupitiya ,  Premadasa said what Sri Lanka needs is a single vision and a road map which all parties should agree to.   

“Setting concepts alone will not help as they have to be put into practice effectively to make Sri Lanka great once more,” he said.   

“ The challenge today is to ensure that people get real freedom from a stable livelihood , freedom from poverty and a nation which does not go around the world begging for dollars,” he added.   

He also said it is the duty of all citizens to remember those who sacrificed their lives to bring peace and stability to the nation including the security forces.
