A total of 436 persons have been arrested in various parts of the country for violating quarantine laws during the past 24 hours ending 6.00 a.m. yesterday.  

Police Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana said it was the highest number of arrests made in a single day since October 30.  He said 101 of them were arrested at Dam Street and Pettah Police areas.
