The  Paddy Marketing Board has purchased 282 tonnes of paddy yesterday,  which is the fourth day since the paddy procurement started, a statement  from the Agriculture Ministry said. 

 The Board purchased 1126 tonnes of paddy from farmers, according to Neil de Alwis, the Chairman of the PMB.
Seventy three warehouses are open for buying paddy in areas where paddy is harvested and threshed.
