• CEB has not justified extension of the power cut with proper reasons, claims PUCSL

The Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL) yesterday denied approval for the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) request for longer power cuts from today, PUCSL Chairman Janaka Ratnayake said.

 However, the CEB has not justified the extension of the power cut with proper reasons.  Hence, the PUCSL approval was given only to continue the prevailing scheduled power cut of one hour and twenty minutes.
