The Sri Lanka Air Force has established a 24x7 Covid-19 vaccination centre at the Bandaranaike International Airport from yesterday to administer Pfizer vaccines for Sri Lankans arriving from overseas.

The SLAF said Sri Lankans returning from overseas will have the opportunity to receive first, second or booster doses against Covid-19 if they have not been vaccinated.

A Sri Lanka Air Force medical team of doctors has been deployed throughout the day to administer the vaccine for returning Sri Lankan passengers at the arrival terminal.

The facility had been initiated under the supervision of the Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Sudharshana Pathirana, on the instructions of the President, to curb the spread of Covid-19, the SLAF said.
