Spreading misinformation shows clear shortage of getting third dose

People who got only the two doses of the COVID-19 vaccine are showing a trend of being victims of the virus and there is a clear resistance of getting the third dose due to misinformation spreading among the people, Government Medical Officers’ Association (GMOA) Assistant Secretary Dr. Samantha Ananda said.
He told the media that a certain group might be involved in spreading misinformation or whether certain people have emerged in the country to accept false propaganda.
With the third dose of the vaccine, “we will be able to minimize the spread of the virus, hospitalization, and the number of patients admitted to ICUs,” he said. The COVID-19 Omicron variant is currently spreading very fast across the country, he said.
Therefore, reporting of the number of daily COVID-19 positive cases is increasing, hospital beds are filling up with COVID patients, and there is an increase in the number of admitted patients to ICUs, he said.
