The Pfizer vaccine has now been made available for anyone above 20 years of age and it could be obtained from respective MOH offices, the Health Ministry said yesterday.
It said there was a considerable demand for Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine. The Ministry has received a number of requests in this regard on several previous occasions.
“Accordingly, the Ministry of Health has considered all such requests individually to date and, now has taken the decision to provide the Pfizer-BioNTech to anyone who has turned 20 and above on request, considering such demands.
“Anyone above 20 can take the (Nucleoside modified -Pfizer BNT) as their primary vaccination (1st and 2nd dose) especially for those who are aspiring to go overseas for studies, overseas employment and visiting abroad (some countries),” it added.
The Ministry also instructed the recipients of Pfizer-BioNTech to take their booster dose after three months of the second dose of the similar kind.
