A fairly long piece of thread used for sackcloth was found in the sprat curry served at the press canteen of Parliament yesterday.    A journalist found it while having his lunch at the press canteen last afternoon.   

This journalist told his colleagues that he had handed over the piece of thread to a staff member attached to the house keeping department of the House.   Meanwhile, two policemen were reported to have fallen ill with stomach infection on Thursday after consuming a contaminated fish curry at the staff canteen. Staff members confirmed that the fish curry served at the staff canteen was rotten.
