Japanese Ambassador in Sri Lanka Mizukoshi Hideaki said that the Japanese government would implement a plan to boost Japanese investments in Sri Lanka and to provide employment opportunities in Japan.
He told the media after paying homage to the Sacred Tooth Relic during his visit to Kandy that he was pleased to have the opportunity to visit the historic city of Kandy and the Sri Dalada Maligawa. He said the bilateral relations between Sri Lanka and Japan had a long history of more than 70 years and that the Japanese government was determined to provide assistance to the Sri Lankan government’s development endeavours.
“The Japanese Government has taken steps to enhance Japanese investments in Sri Lanka and to provide employment opportunities in Japan to the Sri Lankan workers. The projects already undertaken by the Japanese government would continue,” he said.
