Police celebrates 157th anniversary



The Sri Lanka Police celebrated its 157th anniversary yesterday with a series of religious ceremonies and social activities to enhance public relations and coordination island-wide.


The main Buddhist programme held in conjunction with the anniversary was held at the office of the DIG in Colombo.  
Minister of Public Security Tiran Alles, Secretary of the Ministry, Senior Deputy Inspector General of Police in charge of Western Province Deshabandu Tennakoon, DIG in charge of Colombo District A.G.J.Chandrakumara and Colombo (Central) SSP G.L.Leelaratne and many officials participated in the event.
