Police officer, two election officials die while on duty on election day

Three individuals, including a police officer and two election officials, have died suddenly while on duty during election day, November 14.   
Police Spokesman DIG Nihal Thalduwa said that a 33-year-old police officer who was deployed at a polling station in the Urumpirai area of Kopai, is suspected to have died of a heart attack.   
A 48-year-old woman, serving as the Polling Station Chief at the Siri Sadhaham Bhikshu Aramaya in Kesbewa, also died after suddenly falling ill while on duty. 

The woman, a resident of Payagala, was admitted to Piliyandala Hospital but was later pronounced dead.   
Meanwhile, a 57-year-old election official, stationed at the Panama Muslim Maha Vidyalaya polling booth in Kobeigane, was found dead in a toilet. His body was discovered this morning.   
DIG Thalduwa said that all three deaths are believed to have been from natural causes. Post-mortem examinations will be conducted to confirm the cause of the deaths.
