• The Attorney General will file lawsuits following the completion of investigations

The Criminal Investigations Department (CID) and the Terrorism Investigation Division are currently investigating 17 incidents related to the Easter Sunday attack, the police said.   

The police said the Attorney General had already filed nine cases in the Kegalle, Kandy, Kurunegala, Puttalam and Colombo High Courts against 32 suspects following the investigations. 

 
In addition, legal officers from the Attorney General’s Department, the CID and the Terrorism Investigation Division are holding discussions to file cases regarding investigations into eight other cases.  

The Attorney General will file lawsuits following the completion of investigations.
