The Porsche, which was given to her during her tenure as Presidential Advisor, was originally imported ten years ago, Rosy Senanayake, Adviser to former President Ranil Wickremesinghe said today.   

“I was told that it was used by a powerful person attached to a Ministry ten years ago. I urge the authorities to conduct a probe into this,” Ms. Senanayake told a media briefing.   

“I was given eight used vehicles during my short tenure as a Presidential advisor, and all of them were breaking down from time to time. I was given the Porshe, and I refused to accept it as its fuel consumption was high. It also broke down, and I returned it before the election,” she said.  

She said only herself and two other female MPs were targeted by social media while she is targeted by one TV channel.” You be able to find out as to why this TV channel is attacking me in November when the General election is over, “she said.   

“ We don’t seek luxuries when we take up public service. My husband bought me a an Audi in 1990 when it first came to Sri Lanka. My family could always afford luxuries,” she said.
