The duration of the scheduled power cut has been extended for three hours until this Friday (19), the Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL) said.   

Its Chairman Janaka Ratnayake said that the three-hour power outage will begin today.   

As a result, power cuts of one hour and forty minutes during the day and one hour and twenty minutes during the night will be imposed in the areas classified as A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, J, K, L, P, Q, R, S, T, U, V, and W.   
Areas under the group CC will be imposed with a two-hour and 30-minute power cut from 6 a.m. to 8 a.m.
