The funeral of late Chief Court Sangha Nayaka in France cum Chief Priest of Jethavana Vihara in Paris, Most Venerable Murungasyaye Gnanissara Nayaka Thera was held in Weeraketiya. President Gotabaya Rajapaksa, Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa including many other Ministers, Senior Government Officials and devotees paid their last respect to the Nayaka Thera. Ven. Gnanissara Nayaka Thera passed away after suffering a heart attack on November 5, a day after he arrived in 
Sri Lanka for a short visit.
