President Gotabaya Rajapaksa and Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe today reportedly informed there was no necessity of the country going for total lock down or curfew due to the severe shortage of fuel, as more fuel shipments were expected to arrive in the country next week.

The Daily Mirror learns that some ministers and officials had inquired from the President and the Prime Minister if a lockdown or a curfew was necessary. But both leaders had reportedly responded negatively.

However, the government is considering introducing the online system for school and public services for two weeks starting Monday.   Sources said final decision will be taken today.
