Newly elected President Anura Kumara Dissanayake appointed secretaries to the Ministry of Defence and Public Security Ministry yesterday.  

Accordingly, Air Vice Marshal (Rtd.) Sampath Thuyacontha has been appointed as the new Secretary of Defence while former Senior DIG Ravi Seneviratne has been appointed as the Secretary to the Public Security Ministry.
