SLPP MP Prof. Ranjith Bandara was elected as the Chairman of the Committee on Public Enterprises (COPE) yesterday, Communications Department of Parliament said.  
He was elected during a vote at the COPE meeting yesterday where he obtained 14 votes.  

SJB MP Eran Wickremaratne obtained only seven votes.   SJB MP Kabir Hashim was unanimously elected as the Chairman of the Committee on Public Accounts (COPA) on Wednesday.
