• Traffic on the Kalegana Karapitiya road had come to a standstill during the protest

 More than 1000 people staged a protest last morning in front of the residence of former Minister of Plantation Industries Ramesh Pathirana.

They marched along the Galle – Kalegana Karapitiya road to Kitulampitiya in Galle and staged a protest in front of the minister’s residence. The protest continued till afternoon. Traffic on the Kalegana Karapitiya road had come to a standstill during the protest. Galle Police had enhanced security in the area.
