 A woman,  a Psychiatric Counsellor by profession had been hacked to death in a room of a hotel in Neralu Uyana in Battaramulla and her body was recovered by Thalangama police last afternoon.   

 Preliminary investigations revealed that she had been staying in the hotel with another individual who often went out and returned for the last time last on Saturday (02).   

 Police said the hotel employees had tapped on the door and when there was no response, they had broke open the door to find the body of the woman lying in a pool of blood. The deceased was identified as Sujatha Manabharana (46), from Haputale.

of Thalangama Police are conducting further investigations.
