Holding public gatherings and protests will not be allowed until further notice as per the instructions issued by the Director General of Health Services, the Police said.  

They said the Director General of Health Services has sent a letter to the IGP informing about the conduct of various agitations endangering health.  “There is a high risk of the spread of Covid-19 disease by engaging in activities such as public gatherings and protests,” police said.  Accordingly, police will take action against the violators of quarantine orders, they said.
