RDA to expedite landslide identification programme

The Road Development Authority has initiated an expedited programme to promptly identify areas prone to landslides throughout the country, the RDA said.  

This effort takes into consideration the potential impact of persistent rainfall and the heightened likelihood of landslides.  

Director General of the Road Development Authority S. Weerakoon said that measures are being implemented to alert the public about locations at risk of landslides through the use of light signals.
