Spill gates of the Rajangana reservoir and Angamuwa tank were opened yesterday to release excess water. Irrigation Engineer Lakshitha Rasika Hemal said eight spill gates in the Rajangana reservoir and two in the Angamuwa tank had been opened. They were compelled to open spill gates  due to the heavy rain experienced in the area.
