Recommendations against burial of Muslim Covid victims Legal action to be taken against Committee of Experts: Hakeem

Relatives of the Muslim Covid-19 victims whose bodies were cremated, following recommendations of the Committee of Experts, were preparing to file lawsuits against members of the Committee of Experts, SJB MP Rauff Hakeem said yesterday.

   He told Parliament that the members of the Committee had made recommendations that bodies of Covid-19 victims should not be buried and that they should be cremated.  
He said the recommendations had been made without any scientific basis while the other countries had decided otherwise.  

The MP said the members of the Committee of Experts have committed a hate crime against the Muslim Community and that the relatives of the Muslim Covid-19 victims whose bodies were cremated would file cases against the Committee members.
