A veteran in his mid nineties, who had fought during World War II, was ushered to the cenotaph at Colombo Viharamahadevi Park yesterday by members of the Sri Lanka Ex-Servicemen’s Association (SLESA) to mark International ‘Poppy Day’, which fell on Thursday, November 11th.
