The decision to resume academic activities for Grades 6 to 9 in schools would be taken by next week, State Minister Susil Premajayantha told Parliament yesterday.  

He told parliament that the decision would be made in consultation with the Health Ministry. 

 
“Schools were reopened in stages. Primary classes were reopened last week while Grades 10 to 13 were resumed today. The decision to reopen grades 6 to 9 will most probably be made by next week,” he said responding to a question raised by SJB MP Mujibur Rahman.
