Reopening of the Livestock Training School in A’pura



  • Successful students at the Livestock Training School will receive the internationally recognised NVQ certificate
  • Arrangements have been made to conduct courses in the English medium as well

State Minister of Skills Development, Vocational Education and New Inventions Dr. Seetha Arambepola yesterday said her ministry is committed to providing opportunities for the youth to develop their professional skills.  
Higher education is not merely providing university education but any step that is taken to train a person to gain employment, the State Minister said.   

The State Minister made this remark at the reopening of the Livestock Training School in Anuradhapura recently.   
The school was reopened as a result of a request made by State Minister D. B. Herath to enable youth to gain skills training.


Successful students at the Livestock Training School will receive the internationally recognised NVQ certificate. Arrangements have been made to conduct courses in the English medium as well.  


State Ministers Shehan Semasinghe, D. B. Herath, Director General Livestock Department Hemal Kotelawala and officers of Mihintale Pradeshiya Sabha were present at the event.
