Samagi Jana Balawegaya Parliamentarian for Matale District Rohini Kaviratne expressed concern about omitting her name in the list of signatories to the proposed no-confidence motion of the opposition.   

Commenting on reports regarding her absence from the SJB group meeting, she told the media that the harmony in the party would be disturbed due to such actions. She pointed out that the public representatives take decisions at this crucial juncture in the interest of the people.

 “The party should give publicity to my dedication at this hour of crisis and that it was a matter of concern that the SJB has failed in this duty. This would obstruct the forward march of the party. Parliament has failed in performing its responsibilities. The prevailing situation it is imperative that the no-confidence motion is taken up to debate without further delay” The Parliamentarian further said.
