Russia  and Belarus agreed to increase the number of scholarships offered to  Sri Lankan students, a statement from the Education Ministry said. The  statement said it had been done upon request by Education Minister Susil Premajayantha who toured these two countries recently. The Minister has reached understanding in this regard.
The authorities of these countries will call for applications and select students based on their Z -scores.
