Russian Airline ‘Aeroflot’ will commence flight operations to Sri Lanka on November 4, the Tourism Ministry said. A meeting had been conducted between the airline authorities and Sri Lankan officials in the aviation sector in Russia at the headquarters of the Russian national carrier. The Ministry has made arrangements to conduct talks with the main airlines of the country to promote tourism.  Initially, it had been planned to start flight operations between Russia and Sri Lanka on September 1. However, it was postponed till November 4 due to the prevailing pandemic situation.
