A Russian tourist had been knocked down to death on Sunday evening (20) in Ahangama town.   
Police said Kikteva Inna (38) on a visit to Sri Lanka was riding on a motorcycle from Matara to Galle when she met with the accident.   

Investigations revealed that in her attempt to overtake a tipper lorry had bumped against a trishaw and fallen on the road only to be pinned under the lorry.  The driver of the tipper lorry was taken into custody by Ahangama police pending further investigations.
