• 40 independent MPs including MP Wimal Weerawansa participated in the meeting

A group of Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) MPs have met 40 members of the independent group to discuss the aftermath of the no confidence motion. 

One of the members who participated in the discussions MP Eran Wickramaratne told Daily Mirror that the discussion was centred on how members should work in Parliament especially in the event the no faith motion is approved by a majority.  

Some of the members in a group comprising 40 independent MPs including MP Wimal Weerawansa had participated in the meeting.  

However, an SJB MP denied the facebook posts which said the independent MPs together with some SJB MPs are out to launch a political operation to form a government under the premiership of MP Dullas Alahaperuma.  
SJB MP Manusha Nanayakkara in his facebook page carried a post saying that a certain MP is carrying out an operation to form a government which comprises 40 MPs who have become independent along with some members of the SJB.
