The Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) which alleged that a government MP was behind the attack at its headquarters with eggs, said it will not be deterred by the attack.  

SJB MP Chaminda Wijesiri told a press conference that the SJB cannot be silenced by attacks.” We will go ahead with our planned protest against the government in Colombo on March 15 and we challenge this MP to come and compete with us on that day. This MP should go and attack crowds at filling stations. He will get chased by the people without any doubt,” he said. 

“The day when people throw eggs at the rulers of this country is not too far away,” he added.
