• Health rules have to be imposed in a proper manner giving legal provisions

Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) is going ahead with the protest in Colombo despite the ban imposed on functions, gatherings and meetings, MP Eran Wickramaratne said yesterday.  

MP Wickramaratne said the health rules have to be imposed in a proper manner giving legal provisions. “We shall look into the new rules imposed by the government yesterday but we have not been informed about any ban yet,” he said. Director General of Health Dr. Asela Gunawardena issued new health guidelines yesterday under which outdoor meetings were banned.
