• Fonseka working against party interests; SJB General Secretary

Responding to reports which said Samagi Jana Balawegaya ( SJB) is to remove Field Marshal Sarath Fonseka from the post of party Chairman, the party General Secretary Ranjith Madduma Bandara said they had not taken any final decision on the matter. 

 “We have not taken a final decision but he is definitely working against party interests. This is bad. Some SJB MPs have had a discussion with Mr. Fonseka but it had not brought any results. He does not seemed to be listening to anyone,” Madduma Bandara said without ruling out disciplinary action against the former Army commander.    However Secretary to Field Marshal Fonseka Jagath Kumara said the MP has not taken a final decision on contesting for presidency. “Some stories are being planted by interested parties to destroy the SJB,” he added.
